Who we are

FileMyAccounts is run by Chris Demetriou, a sole trader trading as Xynoptic, based in England.

We are the "controller" of your information.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

  • Your email address.
  • The date and time you joined and confirmed, and which version of the consent wording you agreed to.

We do not ask for your name, company details or payment details at this stage.

When you use "When are my accounts due?"

You type a company number. We look it up on the Companies House public register and show you the result. Company information on the register is public. We keep a copy of the result for up to 10 minutes to make the tool faster. We do not link it to you.

To stop spam and abuse

We keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 24 hours to limit how often a form can be used. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.

We do not use cookies or tracking scripts.

If you change the Display settings (theme, text size, dyslexia-friendly font, spacing, contrast or reading mask), your choices are saved in your own browser so they stay the same next time. They are never sent to us. Use "Reset all" in Display settings, or clear your browser's site data, to remove them.

Why we collect it

To email you when FileMyAccounts launches, and to send occasional updates about the product. Nothing else.

We will never sell or share your email for anyone else's marketing.

We first send one email asking you to confirm your address. If you don't confirm within 7 days, we delete it.

Our legal basis

For the waitlist: your consent. You give it by ticking the box and confirming your email. You can withdraw consent at any time (see below).

For spam protection: our legitimate interests in keeping the site working and safe.

Where it is stored

Our website and waitlist database are hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1), which processes data on our behalf. Cloudflare stores the waitlist in the EU.

Emails are sent by Resend, which processes your email address on our behalf. Resend stores data in the EU.

The UK recognises the EU as giving your data adequate protection (UK adequacy regulations).

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after launch if you have not become a customer, whichever comes first. Then we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • see the data we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop using it

You can also withdraw your consent at any time.

Email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.

Unsubscribe or delete

  • Click "unsubscribe" in any email we send. This deletes your email address from our list.
  • Or email [email protected] with "Delete me" and we will remove you.

Complaints

Please tell us first so we can put it right: [email protected].

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): make a complaint on the ICO website (opens in new tab).
